Piping it through the Edifier speakers from the TV now
This year’s tree is a Virginia White Cedar so we had to go lightless. We call it our WW2 tree
Thanks for posting

Always enjoyed shopping at K-Mart and listening to Christmas Music. Besides, where else can you see a wedding gown draped over a case of Pennzoil?
Locally, K marts are an empty building and a U Haul dealer.
Sears is a grassed over area

With all due respect to this post,
Looking back on the quality of their merchandise (or lack there of) that’s probably all for the best.
Our K-Mart is now a U-Haul Supercenter...............
Hmmm....... I posted U Haul dealer but in fact it is a U Haul Super Center.
“U-Haul is owned by U-Haul Holding Company, previously known as AMERCO, a publicly traded holding company1. The Shoen family, heirs of founder Sam Shoen, currently owns, both directly and indirectly, about 55 percent of AMERCO12.”
I’ll bet Amerco bought up old K Mart properties for really cheap
Kmart has been remodeled along with the outdoor strip mall it was in and is waiting for a leaser.
Sears is now an indoor bazaar open on the weekends in the only indoor mall in Rapid City.
Chick fee lay is sniffing around for a location. Despite their seeming wokeness, we are awaiting their arrival.

Love it!
The “traditional” Christmas station I’ve listened to for years has replaced a lot of the “traditional” singers and songs (from the 40s, 50s, 60s, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Perry Como, etc.) with black artists. I don’t mind listening to them - but they should have been added on the rotation instead of lessening or even eliminating white artists and groups.
Most likely so.
We’ve lost K-Marts, Sears, Penny’s and several smaller regional upscale department stores. All we have left is Walmart, Sams, Kohls and Target...........................
I think we call it muzak, tho it is a more traditional muzak.
Kind of depressing that I actually don’t mind it like I would have in 1974.
I can almost picture it ... displays of polyester shirts with big collars, Sansabelt slacks, hardware, toys, stinky perfume counter ... ah, the good old days.

What I’ve noticed is many artists in county, pop and others like you said want to put their “sound” in it.
Honestly I like very few of the new ones.
BTW
2 republican POTUS that year. 50 years ago almost, which I knew then what I know now….
The so-called Christmas stations are unlistenable. Too much pop crap that gets classified as “Christmas music” because the word Christmas is mentioned somewhere in the song. So much of is not cheery and downright depressing. Given they play the same garbage in the stores, I am miserable trying to do Christmas shopping.
And just how many versions of “Last Christmas” do we need? George Michael’s version sucked and no one has improved on it.
LOL, just read a list of “Worst Christmas” songs - four of the “winners” were:
1. All I Want for Christmas is YOU
2. Last Christmas
3. Christmas Shoes (I think that’s the title).
4. Do They Know it’s Christmas?
I’d never heard #3 but my son says it’s horrible and sappy.
If I hear “All I Want for Christmas is YOU” one more time I’m going to go postal..It is everywhere...
Listened to the classical Christmas music station yesterday and may switch to that.
I always loved Kmart at Christmas. 😊
