A new poll from the Wall Street Journal says if Nikki Haley wins the Republican nomination, she would beat President Biden by 14 points. Donald Trump is four ahead, and Ron DeSantis ties Mr. Biden.
The poll is simply a snapshot but demonstrates a few important things. Because Ambassador Haley is not controversial, she polls well among non-political Americans who reject Mr. Trump's demeanor and don't really care how he governs.
But committed Republicans continue to overwhelmingly back the former president because they perceive Ms. Haley as an establishment politician who will not aggressively challenge the ingrained liberal system in Washington.
There are far more casual voters in this country than engaged Americans. If you add up all the folks who watch television news, it is a small segment of the population. On cable news in prime time, you're paid millions if you can get just two million viewers to watch you.
Chances are Ambassador Haley will not get the nomination, and since Trump does not like her, she will not run as his second.
But Ms. Haley would absolutely trounce Joe Biden next November. And both Biden and Trump should figure out why.
See you this evening for the No Spin News.
Polls are like @$$holes, everyone has one.
And they all stink???
I remember Bill O’Reilly.
Haley Rally Crowd:
America needs Nikki as much as it needs four more years of the Biden-Obama axis. It’s President Trump all the way!
We need a dynamic vice-president as well!
Well, if Biden were to be the Democratic nominee (which he won’t be), then yes, Nimrata Haley would crush him.
Of course, she would be worse for the nation in almost every imaginable way, and I’m not about to get emotional again about another Romney vs. Obama or Bush vs. Kerry race, where it doesn’t actually matter who wins since the “donor community” is backing both of them.
Probably 60% of the country dont even know this woman. Most people have no opinion of her. Nonone has tried to target her, define her or bring up anything negative about her. Apples and oranges. Easy to not have an opinion of someone who doesn’t matter. Once that person matters, suddenly everyone has an opinion of whether or not they should have to register with thr government in order to use social media.
no telling how many pole she’s sank to get where she is at.
And another thing:
Why pay attention to anything Billy says?
“There are far more casual voters in this country than engaged Americans.”
So we would be better off letting people who can’t identify even one of the three branches of government decide the best direction for the country?
The difference is wimmin.
Trump needs Elise Stefanik.
Done.
I call BS.
When they are prosecuting and jailing their opponents from the other political party, it helps keep the facade of democracy if they put a graceful loser at the head of the opposing team's ticket.
Yeah, Freepers, Fox news junkies and lefty activists know plenty about Haley. To the populace at large her policy is unknown, so people who don’t like Trump or Biden pick her as “none of the above”. Obama was smart in making his campaign theme “hope and change”, as that means different things to different people. Haley won’t have that luxury, and she cannot get the nomination.
Whether Trump likes her or not has nothing to do with it, since Trump will not be choosing his running mate.
As a rule, the GOP prefers to select running mates who are not presidential candidates who competed against the ultimate nominee.
I believe George Bush I (1980) was the last Republican VP candidate who was selected after losing the nomination for President.
Does everyone remember when Bill O’Reilly endorsed John Kerry over George W for President? I do. I’m not trying to say Bush was great, but John Kerry?? I don’t know what O’Reilly is all about, but it’s not about what is good for the USA if he ever endorsed Kerry for anything.
Haley is being bankrolled by Democrat megadonor and Linkedin found Reid Hoffman.
