I don’t see this as a big deal.

A real Christian wouldn’t have a hand out to the Federal government to subsidize a foster care arrangement in the first place.

Add this to a long list of nonsense that never gets any opposition from Amish and Mennonites … because they don’t expect the government to pay them for their charity.

So, how does one charitably, without the government, agree to help a foster child? How does one contact the children if the police and health systems aren’t involved when the child is taken from the home?

Sometimes it isn’t the money, but a desire to help. But they don’t want our help and the child suffers greatly.
