The old 3.8L OHV v6 Buick use to make was a great motor. Not sure I would trust anything from them now as those days are done.

Nearly everyone is pushing out these undersized gas motors with turbos because they will not stand up against government cafe standards.

Those motors will not last as long and be higher maintenance.

If it doesnt say Honda or Toyota on it, I say forget it.

My 1996 Park Avenue was the best long trip car I ever had. Engine went 325,000 miles before a head gasket took her soul. You really never even knew by sound or vibration if the engine was running? Like driving on carpet. No road noise as well.

I bought it in 2008 with a bad transmission, which turned out to be a $12 sensor deep inside the transmission. A dealer charges $4500 for the repair. I put in a week long labor effort and changed out the sensor after dropping the transmission and getting inside thru the pan and a couple wrenches I cut and welded specific to reach it.

Great $912 purchase that lasted me 12 years.

I really hope they still make that engine!

Yes! The power of a V6 with the fuel efficiency of a 4cyl. I owned 3 in my life and the were awesome! I was so disappointed they quit making it that I bought a Ford in 2009. Ford’s v6 was smaller less powerful and got 6mpg less.
