Joe Biden has been mocked after posting a photo of himself sitting alone at a dining table in The White House complete with a flaming cake to celebrate his 81st birthday.
'I turned 81 and all I got was a new social platform! Thanks for the well-wishes, folks,' Biden wrote as he made his first posting on the social media platform Threads.
And to the workers at the birthday candle factory, I hope your union got you overtime,' he quipped, as the cake appeared to be engulfed in flames.
But followers on other social media were quick to add fuel to the fire. 'There's a portal to hell on a plate in front of him', tweeted radio presenter Dana Loesch.
'Why he gripping the table like that?' asked Mubashar Ali. 'The cake reminds me of a state of the US economy it is in,' added another X user.
'Karine, he looks evil in this pic. Bad look,' wrote another commenter, aiming the message at White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
Biden, the oldest president in American history when he took office in 2021, has faced doubts from pundits and polls whether he is still fit to lead.
The acknowledgement of his birthday comes after his communications director dodged and tried to rattle off a list of his achievements when asked about it.
Biden turned 81 with plans for a low-key Thanksgiving after Monday's turkey pardoning - where he confused Taylor Swift and Britney Spears during a speech.
At one point during the turkey pardoning, the president made light of his age.
'By the way, it's my birthday today,' the president said, adding that guests in the Oval Office sang 'Happy Birthday' to him before the event. 'I just want you to know, it's difficult turning 60. Difficult.'

Never seen him happier than over a burning effigy of America. Look at his reflection on the table. Does it have horns?
It would have been appropriate for him to have an ‘8’ and a ‘1’ candle instead of this.
You can’t blow out those candles without the covid and flu breath of many people - or is someone on the sidelines with a fire extinguisher???

Yet another social media site? We seem to have too many already.
The top of that cake was covered with a picture of America. The fire was to depict what he has done to the place.
Later that night they wheeled him out a big gift box that little girls popped out of.
Flaming cake for a flaming a—hole.
His handler is in the mirror. Or his male nurse. They make numbers 8 and 1 candles. Why stick 81 candles on that cake like a fence.

I don’t think he knows the meaning of “social platform”. A photo isn’t a platform.

Why would his staff do this knowing even Democrats think Joe is past his best if used by date? Are they trying to reinforce the thought he is feeble?
Perhaps video exist of him blowing them out in one breath to show how strong he is, but I doubt he had the strength.
