Sometime in the past year, this tiny planet we live on in an obscure corner of our Milky Way galaxy went through some sort of tipping point, a “state change” of sorts, and now things are different from how they’ve been at any other time in the 300,000 year history of the human race.
Nobody knows for sure what that change or tipping point is.

But regardless of the why/how, something has definitely happened in the past year or so that has pushed our atmosphere’s state of equilibrium out of an older, stable range and into a newer, warmer, and apparently far less stable state.
It’s so dramatic and so shocking that scientists — typically not prone to hyperbole — publishing in the peer-reviewed journal BioScience about this anomaly open their article with: “Life on planet Earth is under siege. We are now in an uncharted territory.
- snip -
Looking at 35 different “vital signs” that signal the health of our planet and its atmosphere, 20 of which have deviated from their norms so badly as to alarm researchers, the scientists who wrote for BioScience warn us all:
“We are venturing into uncharted climate territory.”
- snip -
And there’s never been a better or more important time than now to join climate actions and lobby your elected representatives for large scale, long-term solutions to our fossil fuel addiction.
While nobody is exactly sure why we’ve hit this year of sudden anomalies, scientists are certain it’s a blinking red neon warning that we must change our course or suffer an unimaginable catastrophe. And we still have the tools to solve this crisis of our own making: we just have to use them before it’s too late.

This op-ed article was obviously written for youths and progressives. I'm shocked that MSM picked it up, otherwise I'd have never seen it...and their desperation.
While we're distracted by war drums, they mean to destroy us. Stay frosty.
That is some of the lamest and laziest climate propaganda I’ve ever read and that’s saying a lot.
Bush’s Fault?
“EconomyInCrisis.org is one of my favorite Web sites. It’s just a remarkable insightful look at what’s going on with our economy.”

Thanks to those very same scientists and their political supporters.
'Scientists' are a generally struggling and competitive group of people, often underpaid relative to their education, and compelled to seek a 'hot finding' or sensational conclusion that will lead to more funding, promotion, and credibility. To say they are 'typically not prone to hyperbole' is a joke. They fight with colleagues and competitors. Overstate and sometimes fabricate data. Try to suppress opposing findings and viewpoints. And are too often not the truth seekers those who want to prop them up for political or ideological reasons try to portray them as.
Alternate title:
“We’re running out of fake weather catastrophes, but once we come up with something, you can be damn sure it’s your fault. Oh, and we’re gonna need a few billion dollars to study it, and then a few trillion dollars to use the results of those studies to ruin your life.”

Russia Today’s Thom Hartmann Show’
It is significant that the protests have support from a Moscow-funded channel eager to depict America as a capitalist economy under siege by its own citizens. The protests make for good global anti-American propaganda.
You may recall that Hartmann, another mouthpiece for the protesters, is the progressive media star who grabbed my camera in disgust when I questioned him about how much money he was getting paid by Moscow.
(That was excerpted from another old article about the birth of Occupy Wall Street.)
That means there haven’t been an increase in the number and intensity of hurricanes so they have to find an abstract data point no one can verify for themselves.
>> To say they are ‘typically not prone to hyperbole’ is a joke. &etc
Helluva good point!
They seem to be ratcheting up the fearmongering. Not enough people seem to believe their dire predictions.
Sort of like only 2% getting the latest COVID jab.
You can only cry “Climate change!” so many times before people turn a deaf ear. Some of us have been listening to their propaganda for the last 65 years or longer.
Between the climate change nutters and the end-of-time preachers, the world has been schedule [according to them] to end at least a dozen times. But, the ole globe is still spinning.
>> they have to find an abstract data point no one can verify for themselves
...aaaaand that’s NOT Science!!! :-)
>> They seem to be ratcheting up the fearmongering. Not enough people seem to believe their dire predictions.
We’re just now exiting the “believe our dire but unsubstantiated predictions!” stage, and entering the “oh by the way, here’s what believing our dire but unsubstantiated predictions is gonna cost you...” stage.
Reality (i.e. truth) is taking over...
Did Greta’s acting coach write this?
It’s too articulate for Al Gore.
