PITTSBURGH (KDKA) — Halloween is right around the corner, and it's time to stock up on candy for trick-or-treating.
While the trick-or-treating ghouls and goblins will take home numerous treats, a recent study found the one Halloween candy on everyone's mind in Pennsylvania.
Candystore.com, an online candy retailer, looked at the data and found the most popular Halloween candy in the Keystone State is Hershey's Mini Bars. The bars include Krackel, Mr. Goodbar and Hershey's Special Dark.
Ohio's top choice is Blow Pops and West Virginia's is Butterfingers. The most popular candy nationwide is Reese's Cups, followed by M&M's, Hot Tamales, Skittles and Sour Patch Kids.

My favorite was the mini Milky Ways, still remember the line out the door, where the neighbor was giving out real Marathon bars.
Just a break from the political and world confusion.

Based on the voting record there I’m guessing candy corn.

Every year we give out the same thing, fun size bars of Milky Way, Snickers, Reese’s peanut butter cups, Crunch bars, Paydays, and Caramel Apple Pops. The Caramel Apple Pops are always there in greater numbers than the bars, and are always the first to disappear, followed closely by Reese’s peanut butter cups.
I think the caramel apple pops go first because they aren’t often seen by the kids, so it might be the only one that kid gets.

Blow pops are like a Tootsie pop, but with bubble gum on the inside.

Blow pops were a lollipop with a hard candy covering bubble gum.
 A dentists dream.

I want to take this opportunity to denounce “fun size” candy bars that are frequently given away at Halloween these days. There’s nothing fun about being way too small
I’ve said my piece

We don’t get too many kids these days but I will get a bag of mini candy bars for the older (say 8 and up) kids and save the big candy bars for the littlest kids.

I give away fun size bars, because they bus kids in to my neighborhood on Halloween night. I can’t afford to give them bigger bars, and I don’t relish the thought of getting my house egged or toilet-papered by the teens who are out and about that night.
Trick or treating should be for children, not the older ones that seem to show up anyway every year.
