n official decision regarding Josh Duggar's appeal has been made.
According to Oct. 5 court documents obtained by PEOPLE, the United States Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit has chosen to affirm the 19 Kids and Counting alum's previous judgment in his child pornography case. He will continue to serve out his sentence of more than 12.5 years, remaining in prison through Oct. 2, 2032.
Duggar, 35, was arrested in April 2021 by Homeland Security. At the time, he was being held without bond in an Arkansas jail.
Eight months later, the former reality star was found guilty in December 2021 of receiving and possessing child sexual abuse material. He was sentenced in May 2022 and has been serving out his sentence at FCI Seagoville in Seagoville, Texas, with an anticipated release date in August 2032.
Duggar's attorney filed an appeal in October 2022, requesting that the court overturn his conviction. But earlier this year, his prison stint was extended by nearly two months to October 2032.

A lot of us are wondering how long it will take for him to re-offend again once he is out. He has some stiff rules to follow when he does get out and you know how he is about following rules.

In addition to handing down a prison term of 151 months, Judge Timothy L. Brooks of the Western District of Arkansas Federal Court in Fayetteville also stipulated that Duggar will have 20 years of supervised release after that. He added some “special conditions” to the terms, noting that some of them were not “typical.”
Duggar “shall have no unsupervised contact with minors.” The judge specifically stated that Duggar must “proceed with caution” regarding any event that might include minors. He needs to receive prior approval from the U.S. Probation Office before “attending any such place, function, or event.”
Duggar must submit his person, residence, place of employment, vehicles, papers, computers and any other electronic devices or storage media for search “at a reasonable time and in a reasonable manner” any time there is suspicion that he may have violated any condition of his supervised release.
“The defendant shall not possess, use, or have access to a computer or any other electronic device that has Internet or photograph storage capabilities without prior advance notice and approval of the U.S. Probation Office,” the sentencing document says. Duggar must also pay for internet-monitoring software to be installed on any approved devices. Judge Brooks voiced specific concerns about Duggar potentially having such devices if he returns to working in a self-employed capacity. The defendant must submit to random searches of any devices.
Duggar may not “purchase, possess, use, distribute, or administer marijuana,” and he may not possess a medical marijuana card or prescription. A ban on other controlled substances was addressed earlier in sentencing, as were stipulations that Duggar is never to own or possess a firearm and that he must submit to random DNA collection.
He must participate in a sex offense-specific treatment program and pay for it himself “if financially able.”
He will also “be required to submit to periodic polygraph testing at the discretion of the probation offices as a means to ensure that he is in compliance with the requirements of his supervision or treatment program.”

Knowing what an ass Josh is, how fast do you think it will be before he fails? I give him 10 minutes out of the slammer.
That’s not a normal life. Even for someone inclined to follow the rules. How could he spend family time w/o some outsider also being there to monitor? He may be better off just staying incarcerated, and having any family member who wants to, come visit him in a room with multiple fixed cameras.
He can just forget about those “Conjugal Visits” if they still call them by that term, unless his particular perversion includes being an Exhibitionist.

Lucky for everyone by the time josh gets out of the joint the majority of his kids will be adults. All except Maryella and Madyson. Maryella will be 16 and Madyson will be 12. Anna will be 47 so let’s hope she can’t produce any more babies for us to worry that josh will be molesting.

Good luck finding a job, or even driving a car when he gets out.
Not to mention, we’re supporting those kids. Guarantee the wife if getting assistance from federal and state. She literally doesn’t work. Lazy family.
He will only be 44 when he gets out.

The oldest Mackynzie will be 25. Unless she does a Jana she will have kids.

By that time the older kids will have been on the internet and read everything about good ol’ dad. Most of the kids won’t remember him or know him. Just that he’s a child molester and on the SA registry. Will be interesting to see how that plays out for Josh.
Oh I’m sure Jim Bob will have another Used car lot for him or some family business that he will run.
