Fun's over, kids. As Windows Central reports, Microsoft appears to have lobotomized its Bing Image Creator.
The DALL-E 3-powered image-generating AI was integrated into Bing's platform last week, prompting netizens to quickly test its guardrails. As it turns out, those guardrails were incredibly ineffective, with users — 404 Media's Samantha Cole notable among them — quickly realizing that they were able to generate problematic, copyright-infringement-laden AI generations of beloved cartoon characters like Disney's Mickey Mouse doing things like wearing bomb-covered vests and perpetrating the 9/11 terror attacks.

Terrible image. Mickey’s left arm is way too long.
AI is creating Fake ads already that are scamming stupid people
Mickey Rat the libtard’s hero
Not far from the truth, though.................
How can they possibly anticipate and program all the needed restrictions and guardrails? Maybe then need another AI system to create the ethically, morally, and legally permissible boundaries and feed those to the Image-Producing AI system.
These illegal uses of Disney characters is nothing compared to the manipulation of people — politicians in compromising situations. Imagine a lifelike image of Joe receiving bags of money from Xi or Joe filling out a $10 million deposit slip to his Cayman Islands account.
This boundary- and limit-setting is going to immediately get into censorship territory.
Too late, it’s already in censorship range on most corporate provided AI. For the moment if you want you can download and run some uncensored models online but the politiians are trying to destroy that with their AI guardrails rules. They do not like us having any ability to think or be creative without them controlling the result.
Mickey’s entire left arm is discombobulated. Look at where his hand is and then run from there to his shoulder.
I hate Bing and that stupid browser to the core of my soul
Well, duh! He broke it hitting the guardrail!
I’ve been told that the “deep fakes” on some adult sites of Hollywood’s starlets are incredibly realistic.
I’ve seen some parody sites on u-tube that look and sound pretty realistic.
If I was a actor I’d be afraid for my job like those strikers.
Dumb article. They complain about Microsoft doing this (curtailing the “fun”)...then says Microsoft needs to do this before releasing software.
