POWER GENERATION

A hydroelectric unit at one of the hydroelectric power plants with a capacity of over 300 MW has come out of scheduled maintenance.

The electricity generated by Ukrainian power plants is sufficient to meet the needs of consumers. Power engineers continue to prepare the power system for the heating season, which will take place in the face of russian attacks. A large-scale repair campaign is underway at thermal, hydro and nuclear generation facilities.

CONSEQUENCES OF BAD WEATHER

Due to adverse weather conditions, 252 settlements in Donetsk, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Poltava, Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, and Chernihiv regions were cut off from electricity.

Most of them are in the Kyiv region, with 15,300 customers left without power.

SITUATION IN THE FRONTLINE REGIONS

In Donetsk region, 42 settlements lost power due to shelling. Some consumers in Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, Kharkiv, Kherson, and Chernihiv regions also have no electricity supply.

In total, power companies reconnected 43,000 consumers over the day. Most of them are customers in Donetsk region.

CONSEQUENCES OF THE KAKHOVKA HPP DAM BLOW-UP

In Kherson, efforts are underway to restore power grids damaged by the flood. Almost 300 power access points have been reconnected, while 1,700 customers in the city remain without power. Power engineers are working to restore power supply, but repairs are slowed down by shelling.

SITUATION IN THE REGIONS

6 settlements in Zaporizhzhia region were temporarily cut off from electricity supply due to technological disruptions.

SITUATION AT THE ZNPP

There is a slight decrease in the water level in the ZNPP cooling pond. It is currently at 15.76 metres. This is sufficient to meet the needs of the plant.

EXPORT/IMPORT

There were no commercial imports of electricity over the past day. Exports to Slovakia and Moldova totalled 1,964.00 MWh.
