“It’s remarkable how Elon Musk has destroyed what was perhaps the best thing about Twitter: the ability to get relatively accurate and trustworthy data in real time when there’s a crisis,” Paul Bernal, an IT law professor at the University of East Anglia in England, wrote on X on Monday."

No. The only difference is that StormFront types are now allowed to exist on Twitter, where before they were banished and deplatformed while every manner of radical Leftist Marxism were still allowed to freely participate.
Musk only leveled the playing field.
The ability now to quickly flag tweets and provide the reason they should be considered misinformation is a drastic improvement. And any time we have a major world event like Israel, there's going to be tons of misinformation from all sides. It's just the nature of the beast.
I saw one video claiming to be Hamas in paragliders that was quickly corrected to being a video of an air demonstration by the Egyptian military that took place years ago. Yes, there were Hamas terrorists employing paragliders but not in that particular video. It's good that this misinformation can be quickly verified.
Of course, it's not perfect. Stuff slips through the cracks when there's millions of tweets each day.
The Muslims are going to be hate-filled savages no matter what.
Most of the anti-Israel stuff on TWTR is coming from the Left. Not Stormfront.
“..destroyed what was perhaps the best thing about Twitter: the ability to get relatively accurate and trustworthy data...”
Accurate and trustworthy data may be gone. But satire is alive and well.
I posted on another thread that I started watching the English version of Al-Jezerra this weekend.
Another FReeper said to be advised because of their bias.
I replied are they any more biased than: CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, NY Times, WA Post, Fox News ????
I recently posted on twitter and encouraged the climate change loons to “end it all” by jumping off a bridge and become part of the solution rather than remain part of the problem they believe in.
My tweet was immediately flagged.
LOL!
Exactly. The best and least pro-Hamas information I am getting is from X formerly Twitter. Much of it comes from people on the ground and includes foreign sources.
But at the same time, there is a lot of pro-Hamas stuff from Muslims living outside of the ME. So they get their uncensored, delusional word in too.
The current incarnation of Twitter is a great place to get info.
As with anything, trust but verify.
Liar
It is almost exclusively from the pal propaganda machine-
I’ll guesstimate 100-1 and this incl that #diversity was trending thx to the stormfront folks.
It’s the same stuff we saw here back in the day from StormFront. “The Jews aren’t really Jews, they are Khazars”. Jewish banker condemnation. Stuff from the Protocols.

Endless videos of black people attacking white people, even stuff that is years old.
They can’t peacefully co-exist with other muslims.
muslims kill more muslims than everyone else kills them combined-
our mere existence is provocation to them
yet for 50yrs-hijiackings, marine barracks in Beirut, USS Cole, WTC 1 +2, embassies, subways, discos-the west largely kicks back and plays catcher.
5.3 million tweets yesterday-
7700 #diversity
hundreds of thousands #freepalestine or similar.
Sure, Stormfront type content is there.
But Twitter is overwhelmingly leftist, and pro-Palestinian.
Left Twitter follows the elites of Woke. What is going on with the Ivy League student associations is a good proxy.
That’s the future elites of the United States.
College professor, supposedly an intelligent man, doesn’t have the capacity to filter through news items, or (horror) do his own research to arrive at opinions.

...and of course he just happens to be someone that CNBC quotes quietly implying that he’s an authoritative voice.
They couldn’t find anyone in the USA to back the Palestinians so they found some no-name professor in East Anglia.
I didn’t know that.
Fascinating!
Some clown from Britian. I learned recently that Russia arrested 400 people for banned online speech last year. In the UK? 3300 people arrested. Please tell me how the West is a shining example of speech right again?
“This from the entity that just instructed its reporters never to refer to Hamas as terrorists.”
I think that was the CBC.
