It's funny but the Connecticut River Valley (from New Haven up to Greenfield, Massachusetts) was the gun making area for America, it had Colt, S&W, Winchester, Marlin, Remington, Springfield amongst the best known company along with lessor known gun makers like Ives Johnson and CVA.

Most are either out of business or they moved to gun friendly states. It's a shame that liberals ruined another tradition, that is the Connecticut River arms industry.

I remember the early 1960s when the Congressional Politicians of these states all came out for a ban on the import of 5 shot bolt action Army Surplus rifles. “For crime control” they said.
Come to find out it was really to prevent cheap competition with their local gun industries.
Now they have chased some of their own gun industries out of their states.
