I was watching the show MAYDAY this morning and it was the one about the DHL Airbus 300 leaving a Bagdad that was hit by a terrorscum Shoulder launched missile near the end of the left wing and killed all 3 hydraulic systems and left the wing on fire from leaking fuel tank. The Crew managed to land successfully using only throttle control. Then when they got off the plane the Fire Rescue had to lead them through a zone full of unexploded ordnance left from the battle to take the airport !!! Talk about a high stress day...
I remember that day. Must have watched the video the haggies put out like fifty times analyzing it. We stood down for a day or two... Tried out best to change up our flight paths.
