Barstool Sports founder and small business star Dave Portnoy has faced criticism from the Washington Post for his first-of-its-kind "One Bite" pizza festival, but, despite this strategic provocation and severe weather conditions, the celebration was a success.
"It couldn't have gone better. It's our Woodstock moment with the rain. 5,000 people strong. Everyone had a great time. The vibes are actually probably higher because of the controversy surrounding it. So, yeah, it went great," Portnoy said during his Sunday appearance on "Fox & Friends Weekend."
The "One Bite" pizza festival was a celebration planned by Portnoy himself to round up America's greatest pizzerias, at least according to El Presidente's scale.

You buy a ticket, you get to eat pizzas from many different pizzerias. Dave Portnoy is known for his pizza reviews.
I used to be ambivalent to Dave, now I like him.
He’s done a lot of reviews of local FL pizza places here in PBC (he must live down around Boca/Delray), and is entertaining. He totally got sucked into Willie in Juno Beach though, so he lost points for that.
The fact that he sold a company for $500M and bought it back for $1 makes him indeed a legend.

Although he then proceeds with multiple bites, because he has to at least try the crust.
Then he also started a (mediocre) frozen pizza line sold through Walmart called One Bite.
He has been dragging the Kelce brothers this week because of Taylor Swift.
But.....
Taylor Swift showed up for the game today sitting next to the mother of Travis.
“Strike first”— we are only 60 years late.
Same. I think he's a bit like Elon Musk. He wasn't on our side in the beginning. But now he was forced to. And he's one of our generals. We need more like him.

The Washington Post was going to do a hit piece on him. The journalist was contacting all the pizzerias. They told him what was going on so Portnoy went on the offensive.
You know gas station pizza Willy? Too funny. I never expected gas station pizza mentioned on FR. Not even from a neighbor!
Elon Musk, Dave Portnoy, Donald Trump and Ron DeSantis. They've been the most effective so far.
