Don’t know much about him but,IIRC,the left doesn’t like him much.If that’s true that could explain why false accusations might be made against him.
The Left liked him until recently. He has been red-pilled on some issues and has been outspoken about them. Now he is being hunted down to be destroyed as a heretic.
He used to be firmly on the left.
They consider him a traitor.
He red pilled about 6 months ago. Now he must be destroyed. He was a member in good standing with the left brigade but he open his eyes. Nothing angers the left more than losing one of their soldiers.

He is a super redpilled ex-lib. He is funny as hell and has a huge following. He cuts through the Bolshevik fluff quite easily. It’s the usual Thomas/Kavanaugh stuff.
Actually, if I recall correctly, he was a very loud, outspoken and obnoxious leftist at the height of his comedy/acting career (early to mid 2000’s) while he was married to Katie Perry, but he got “red pilled”.
Appears to me that breaking free of the leftist/liberal/LBQTXYZ#@$& cult is no different than leaving the Church of Scientology. They will retaliate against you. They harass, stalk and pester you by any and every means available to them.

He is a British trash celebrity and it is a very British scandal. It has nothing to do with America.
Everyone knew, but he was able to get away with this behavior because the British far left loved him and up until recently the far left was culturally powerful there.
Things have gotten a lot better in Britain and the far left has had many setbacks in recent years. That caused the situation when they were no longer able to protect him.
