The key is to give our soldiers even more necessary for offensive operations, for de-mining, for the evacuation of wounded soldiers. Each meeting participant clearly understands what he should do.
There was a meeting with law enforcement officers – they continue cleansing the state of those, who are still trying to weaken Ukraine from the inside. Autumn should be fruitful in this matter – especially for Ukraine.
I took part in a very representative Italian forum - the Ambrosetti Forum. It is one of the key European platforms for policy development. Those solutions that are needed. Economic, security, political. I thanked Italy for all the support provided. But I urged never to give up our natural strength – the strength of the entire free world. Strength to act together. To the full. For our common interests. Just as we have been operating for 555 days of the full-scale war.
And most importantly for today. The most emotional. I’m sure not just for me.
More than 3,700,000 Ukrainian children started the new school year today. Most of them are in Ukraine. Most of them are offline or in a mixed mode, where social interaction between children is still preserved.
Of course, we will do everything to make it possible for them to return to schools and universities across all our land – as usual. Without online. The shelter creation program will be implemented. And we will return freedom to our entire land. The smile of every child today, every flower that children brought to school, every lesson that Ukrainian teachers conducted today, and every dream that arose today in Ukrainian children are all proofs that Ukraine will definitely endure. Life goes on. Life is getting stronger. And there will be a day when September 1 will be equally peaceful and safe throughout our land. Glory to all who bring this time closer! The time of our victory.
And today, I would like to personally thank everyone who has already taken an interest in our new educational project, the public project – the Mriia application, which I presented and which will soon be able to become part of the life of every child who is studying and who strives for his result together with all of us. On the Day of Knowledge, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy presented an innovative educational digital project called Mriia to Ukrainian schoolchildren, their parents and teachers.
The Head of State spoke about the new Mriia app during a video conference meeting with pupils and teachers from nearly 40 educational institutions from Ukraine and abroad.
The President noted that today the world is constantly changing and some things are losing their relevance, while others are becoming more important. Each child also changes during their studies, so they need a kind of navigation to find their place in this world.
The main goal of the Mriia project is to provide children with their own personal educational space and a unique development algorithm, and to open up opportunities for every Ukrainian to become the person they want to be.
The app will help children, parents, and teachers navigate the learning process and beyond more effectively, and will promptly indicate what to pay attention to and what to devote more time to. It will contain a library of content that is relevant to that particular child, information about educational programs, courses, videos, extracurricular activities, competitions, and clubs.
“The app will recommend what a particular child needs, based on their educational path, their talents, and what they can already define as a dream. No matter what age. No matter what geography. The main thing is for the child to succeed,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
Thanks to the app, each child will have their own portfolio in education, which will contain information about their achievements and plans.
“After all, all achievements are important, not just grades: participation in competitions, volunteering, own projects, sports achievements, that is, all the activity of the child, all his or her potential,” the Head of State explained.
“Mriia will have a user-friendly interface to keep track of the child’s class schedule and extracurricular activities.
In addition, the app allows children to have an ID, a unique digital child document for greater protection and opportunities in the adult world, similar to Diia.
Mriia will help parents know if their child is safe during air raids. All it takes is one tap in the app after the teacher has taken the children to the shelter.
Parents will also be able to see what their child is more talented at, understand what the child needs help with, and what he or she is good at. In addition, Mriia will also provide content for parents to help them develop themselves.
The app will also allow parents to receive feedback from the teacher.
“It is very important that Mriia will finally make teachers’ lives easier. We are removing as much paperwork as possible. All kinds of forms that need to be filled out now. The teacher’s attention will be focused on teaching, not wasting time,” Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.
In addition, thanks to Mriia, teachers can use not only standard materials for preparing lessons, but also special courses. This can make learning more interesting.
According to the President, by the end of this year, it is planned to start the familiarization process with the Mriia pilot project in test schools, and next year, after the pilot is implemented, the project will be scaled up to other educational institutions in Ukraine.
Deputy Prime Minister for Innovation, Education, Science and Technology Development – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and Minister of Education Oksen Lisovyi will present every detail of the project step by step.

The Bakhmut devil reports that progress was made yesterday evening in the Andriivka and Kurdyumivka area. These are villages 10-15 km south of Bakhmut. In the evening of the same day the soldier confirmed the success. “Due to the fact that we were at good heights, we took fire control of the section of the Horlivka-Bakhmut highway,” the fighter wrote. This route plays a crucial role in resupplying the occupation group of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation in the Bakhmut direction. Russian-imposed authorities in Ukraine’s temporarily occupied territories have been refusing to allow high school students who do not hold Russian passports to attend classes.

DETAILS:
Schools in Kherson Oblast handed over lists of the students who do not hold Russian passports to the local occupation authorities. The students now have 10 days to “rectify the situation”. Only then will they be allowed to take part in lessons.

US reports on results of visit of heads of Ukraine’s anti-corruption institutions

During the last few days, the heads of anti-corruption institutions of Ukraine have visited Washington and attended several meetings.

According to the report, the visit of the heads of the Special Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau of Ukraine (NABU) and the High Anti-Corruption Court of Ukraine lasted from 28 August to 1 September.
The leaders of anti-corruption institutions have visited the Department of State of the US, the Ministries of Justice and Finance and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID).
The US Department of State stated that Ukraine’s inclination towards fighting corruption is a key to its future and fulfilling its European ambitions.
“The United States APPLAUDS Ukraine’s commitment to anti-corruption efforts even amid Russia’s brutal full-scale invasion and supports Ukraine as it works to implement key anti-corruption reforms aimed at securing its democratic future, built on the rule of law,” the statement reads.
The DECISIVE actions of the Ukrainian government and its independent anti-corruption institutions, as well as vigilance of the society and media are, like before, important for counteracting corruption, facilitating the transparency of state procurement, strengthening the trust of the investors, and holding the officials who abuse public trust accountable, the department emphasizes.
BACKGROUND:
In June, the ambassadors of the G7 countries presented key recommendations for Ukraine concerning strengthening its anti-corruption institutions and reforming the judicial system.

As we know, Ukrainian warriors fought around Robotyne for a long time. After the liberation of Robotyne, Ukrainian fighters this week started moving in the direction of the strategically located village of Verboyne. As this village is an integral part of the Russian defense, it has become a potential target for Ukraine’s advance towards the Sea of Azov. In pursuit of this goal, Ukrainian forces faced a very difficult task. The center of the main Russian defensive line, full of mines and dragon’s teeth, was in this area. Ukrainian forces are slowly advancing south and west of the village of Robotyne, which was taken from Russian control this week. This shows that Kiev is trying to deepen and expand its offensive in the region.
So what strategies did the Ukrainian forces use to break through the main Russian defenses to reach the cities of Verboyne, Tokmak and Novoprokopivka after liberating Robotyne? Ukrainian generals want to break through the Russian land bridge, cutting the lines of communication between the forces in the east and south of the country, in order to reach the coastal city of Melitopol. To do this, Ukrainian forces first of all had to break the psychological resistance of the Russians. To this end, the 82nd Air Assault Brigade, the most powerful assault brigade of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, and 47 mechanized brigades have recently joined the counteroffensive as part of the second echelon of forces to be deployed to break through Russia’s fortified defenses.
The 82nd brigade, which includes experienced frontline units for the offensive, was trained by the British and equipped with Challenger 2 main battle tanks and Stryker infantry fighting vehicles. The 47th Brigade also has American Bradley M2 and French light tanks and German Leopard heavy battle tanks. During counter-offensive operations in the south of the country, the biggest problem for Ukrainian soldiers is the minefields and fortification barriers on the Russian FIRST line of defense. If Ukraine had problems with mines, especially on the first line of defense along the supply route, then it would also have problems with equipment on the second line of defense. But the Ukrainian generals were aware of this and they could overcome the Russian first line of defense using completely different tactical elements.
The SECOND line of defense of the Russian troops in Zaphorizhia is very different from the first. Breaking through the first line of defense requires great skill and no casualties. Because although there are fewer minefields on the second line of defense, there are many mechanized armored vehicles and tanks. Armored vehicles, tanks, artillery, there are too many of them.
But the Russian army is now forced to shift its artillery to the THIRD line of defense, where it is less likely to be destroyed by Ukrainian counter-battery fire. This works in Ukraine’s favor if Ukrainian forces break through the first line of defense. Ukraine has used this to its advantage. Russian troops have been reinforcing the first line of defense in the south for months. They have relied especially heavily on the fortifications created by the Dragon’s teeth.
It was a real challenge for the Ukrainians to break through the elements forming the main Russian line of defense. The operation is sometimes slowed down because minefields are very difficult to clear. However, the Ukrainian army has in its inventory powerful Western demining equipment. After several bridgeheads were set up on the Dnipro river, ground operations accelerated.
A few evenings ago, it was reported that the Ukrainian Elite 82nd Air Assault Brigade and the 47th Mechanized Brigade reached the first stages of fighting on the Surovikin line near Verbove. In order to reach the outskirts of Verbove, Ukrainian forces had to overcome a series of dragon’s teeth anti-tank barriers and trenches that form Moscow’s first line of defense near Zaporizhia. The main minefields in front of the defense line in the Zaporizhia direction slowed the advance in this direction, but did not stop it. It took only 24 hours for Ukrainian forces to break through the dragon-toothed defenses.
The Russians did not expect this at all. They had spent months building up the dragon-toothed defenses and the Surovikin line. But the Russians had made a critical mistake. A comparison of satellite images from early and late August shows that Russia made no effort to strengthen its defenses around Verbove. Despite the difficulties, the Ukrainian Armed Forces’ soldiers persevered and took up positions near Verbove.
Odd that all victories are Ukraine’s and all defeats are Ruzzia’s, but the war still isn’t over.
