I go to furry conventions (it’s ok,
I play old cartoon clips etc). They
all mandate vaxxes (I got four) or proof
of a negative test.
Pittsburgh one in July—masks mandatory
but not too well enforced

Philly one in two weeks—masks only
required in dealer’s room/market

Boston one in Jan. : Masks will be
required.

It’s Covid-19. That’ll be in ‘24.
Some reaction on twitter/X
—Enough already!
—That’s good, I’m immuno-compromised
—Well I think I won’t go...

They’re claiming Boston could be
high risk, plus it’s winter

I host panels at these conventions.
The con said panel hosts were ok
to not wear them because we’d be far
enough away from the audience.
I played stuff (off laptop to
projector) like old Hamm’s Beer ads
to a funny Dudley Do Right (”Stokey
the Bear”)
13,000 attended the convention
in Pittsburgh and from what I saw
it was not a super spreader event.
And yes some did wear costume heads.
