One thing I’ve noticed about artists is that whatever makes them great also often times makes them crazy.
Say what you want about one Taylor Alison Swift (and we have a lot to say, given her penchant earlier in her life for going through boyfriends in a very public way and her open support of LGBTQ+ causes), but yet she is still a surprisingly grounded person by musical artist standards. With very good reason: the support of her parents, Scott and Andrea Swift. The lack of parental support has derailed many musical careers, to say the least.
Sinead O'Connor had a lot of trouble with non-supportive and abusive parents (especially her mother), and the issues all came out with that infamous Saturday Night Live performance from 1992 that essentially ended her popular music career.
Creative types are more sensitive as a rule
Sculptors and poets the worst
And performance artists
Actors the stupidest no question
Some writers are reasonable
Like Foote
Some though are Hemingway or Thomas drunkards
