Here’s an odd take on this one - Flame away-
I don’t care- better yet . . .
I’m OK with the Secret Service, the personal guards for the President not saying anything about it.
FBI wants to rage on, OK.
But Pres needs to know the Secret Service is just that.

They are privy to every case of diarrhea, of thrown ashtrays and broken dishes, or profanity and porno and too much whiskey. They are tasked with an intrusion into personal lives like nowhere else in the world.
FBI wants to go for it, fine, but the Secret Service should stay quiet about it all-
> I’m OK with the Secret Service, the personal guards for the President not saying anything about it. <
Your argument is something I never considered. It does make sense.
I’d unreservedly go with it except for one thing. We’re talking about a criminal act. I agree that the Secret Service should be mum about personal problems they’re aware of. But should they help cover up felonies?
It’s a tough call. I can see the point whether a person answers ‘yes’ or ‘no’ to my question.
But Pres needs to know the Secret Service is just that.

Another take from a former Secret Service Agent:
BONGINO: So there’s probably less than 200 people who could have left this cocaine, by the way, in a bag which is plastic, which is non-porous, meaning it’s probably not that hard to pull a latent print. They’ve got to know who did it. The question who’s pressuring them to not find out who did it? And it’s gotta be coming from this White House. This is terrible. Don’t destroy this agency like the FBI. It’s really unbecoming.
