I think they are missing the point. It was a team of the best women from the entire nation playing against boys under 15 from one club in the Dallas area. So these boys weren’t the best in the country, just some from a small part of Texas.

The women aren't paid less; they're actually paid far more from the pool of money they brought in. Men are paid out 7% of the pool of revenue they brought in. Women were paid 20% out of the money they brought in, almost three times as much as the men.
Rest assured that soccer in North Texas is one of the top areas in the Nation. We are approaching 7 million in population. Texas is also one of the hotbeds for HS football.
Whenever someone starts yammering about Women’s World Cup I just say nah I’ll wander down to the local rec soccer fields and watch the 15-year-old boys play. Shuts them up every time.

The boys only have to identify as women and they’re automatic shoe ins for the next picks.

I’ve been told that in Texas HS football is as much a religion as the Catholic Church or the Southern Baptists. Any truth to that?
