The Charlton Heston trilogy of, "Planet Of the Apes", "The Omega Man", and "Soylent Green", are the best written and acted dystopian movies.
Mods pull if you wish.
The “President Joe Biden” documentary has my vote.
Followed by the odumbo years.
I’m surprised that 13 Monkeys isn’t in there.
My first thought was “Planet of the Apes” movies.
We quote the famous “Soylent Green” line at our house all the time.
Any list without these is useless. But Add: THX-1138. Logan’s Run. Silent Running.
#7 “The Road”......a bigger gut punch downer of a movie I’ve never seen......What Viggo Mortensen was thinking is beyond me. SMH
Also, I notice “Book of Eli” didn’t make the list.......too much Bible good news perhaps?
Idiocracy was probably the first Canceled-By-The-Left movie. It was pulled from theaters within two weeks, yet, it is an A-class movie: Quality movie with great actors. It just hit the liberals between the eyes so damned hard it hurt them badly. It is perhaps one of the funniest movies ever made while being a direct statement against the liberals dumbing down of America.
THE BODY SNATCHERS is sort of dystopian; thought the original film is the only one to watch!
CHILDREN OF MEN is also one to watch.
Go away, baitin’…
Perhaps not in the dystopian genre but 3 movies that started out as novels which potentially could happen in reality
Atlas Shrugged-Ayn Rand
Transcendence - movie staring Johnny Depp about AI
Never Let Me Go - novel written by Kazuo Ishiguro that was turned into a movie
I wouldn’t call it a dystopian movie, but Joker is outstanding.
It sucks any joy out of you, so I don’t recommend numerous views.
Any Democrat National Convention will do.
Or maybe a 90 minute feed of San Francisco traffic cams.
Is 13 Monkeys the sequal to 12 Monkeys?
Great movie as are many of Terry Gilliams. Brazil is also a good dystopian flick.
Mad Max, Mel Gibson’s first.
Came here to suggest this very movie.
How close are we anyway from Joe Biden and Kamala Harris to Dwayne Elizondo Mountain Dew Camacho?
Starring John Hurt and Richard Burton in his last movie appearance.
It was very well done and true to the story by Orwell.
Yeah The Road was majorly freaky
Not sure how The Fifth Element counts as a dystopian.
