Finally something that might bring me to the theater. This looks IMAX worthy. Napoleon being as Hegel called him "the soul of the world“ not some broken man like what Kathleen Kennedy did to Indiana Jones. I believe the trailer showed Waterloo with British squares and Austerlitz with Napoleon unleashing hell on the Russia and Austrian soldiers trapped on an ice covered lake.

Napoleon didn’t come from nothing. His family was of minor Corsican and Genoese nobility.

I had a laugh considering what has been happening in France, one of the opening scenes is Napoleon dealing with the Royalist mob with a “whiff of grapeshot”.

It’s going to have to go a ways to overtake Bondarchuk’s 1970 epic “ Waterloo”
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Waterloo_(1970_film)
“The film is most famous for its lavish battle scenes,[7] shot on-location in Uzhhorod, Ukraine.[8] The impact of the 15,000 authentically dressed extras, recreating the battle sections with true numbers and without special effects, is unsurpassed, and remains the highest number of costumed extras in any film.[9]”

Napoleon didn’t come from nothing. His family was of minor Corsican and Genoese nobility. Correct. I’ve been to his birthplace in Ajaccio. Corsica. It’s not a palace, but it’s certainly not a hovel either.

The soldiers were all Russian and a calvary charge into their midst (marked off pathway) had to be canceled because the Russians would run in terror.
