Like the season one intro to WKRP “and the senator, while insisting he was not intoxicated, could not explain his nudity.”
Great movie and William Powell is really funny in it!
I love William Powell. I remember when he was a forgotten man.
I’m a big fan of Powell’s and have yet to see a movie that he was bad it and have seen most of the ones he made. He could do comedy, drama, and anything in between flawlessly!
Here is another good old movie. What Journalism use to be like: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uOfCA4OpFw
Humphry Bogart
Ethel Barrymore
Kim Hunter
Good stuff.
Ella Raines is always watchable...rrr!

In 1947, Teddy was not yet a senator but was just a few years away from his first scandal (cheating in Harvard).
We must remember this, it’s only a movie, only a movie,
only a movie. Yet it does seem strange to find life duplicates film so well.
I searched for it via Voice Recognition on my Roku remote and it found it on a channel I was not aware of -- the "Classic Film Time" channel. I clicked "watch" and Roku loaded the app for that channel and started the film. It was all seamless and very easy.
Thanks for the Roku tip. Roku has varied its channels and apps in the way
they present them at the store, and many original apps no
longer work. LOL at one time it was thought FreeVee was
NLA, fortunately, that was not the case. If classic
Film Time has not been entered, it soon will be. :-)
It had been entered earlier. Good to know it’s available;
especially after they took MovieLand from us.
Thanks, again. Must take the time to explore the channel, finding other ‘gems’ available.
