Understanding Marxism Is Key To Understanding Today’s Leftists

As Americans, we are being assaulted by numerous alphabet ideologies we don’t understand—from DEI to ESG to LGBTQ+. We seek to understand through logic, but by doing so, we become only more confused. The only way to understand what’s happening is to recognize the ideology that underlies all of it: Marxism. When Patrisse Cullors, BLM’s co-founder, acknowledged that BLM leaders were “trained Marxists,” we failed to understand the significance. It is time to change that.

Marxism’s central idea is that the world is broken down into two groups; or as Marx stated: “in a word, oppressor and oppressed.” This is from his opening statement in the Communist Manifesto (published in 1848). If you remember nothing else, remember this.

Classic Marxism sees the world in binary terms: the bourgeoisie (oppressor) and the proletariat (oppressed). The bourgeoisie own the means of production, and the proletariat don’t. Marx believed that, if the proletariat seized the means of production, all class conflict would end, bringing us to a Communist utopia. Ironically, Marxists advocated achieving utopia through violent revolution.

The Frankfurt School is the key to understanding how Marxism is used today. It is responsible for what we now term “cultural Marxism” or “neo-Marxism.” The Frankfurt School was established in the 1920s to study Marxism with the goal of understanding why communism was not taking hold in Western societies. The most important idea that came from the Frankfurt school is “critical theory.” (The seminal work is Traditional and Critical Theory” by Max Horkheimer, published in 1937.)

Critical theory expanded on Marx’s idea of the “superstructure.” The superstructure is made up of all the cultural and social institutions in society. Marx explained that those are the things that influence our “modes of thought, and views of life.”

Marxism is a cancer on society. And it is metastasizing to stage 4.

Indeed. Although, two hundred years before Karl Marx was even born, the pilgrims were smart enough to realize socialism didn’t work.

The bourgeoisie own the means of production, and the proletariat don’t.

Today’s Marxists believe that Government should own the means of production, resulting in those in power controlling the wealth. (Check out the number of folks who don’t have a pot to piss in when elected to office and leave as millionaires)

Using Marxist theory, if the oppressed Gain power, wouldn’t they become the oppressor? 🧐

The dictatorship of the proletariat would be temporary. Hasn’t happened, yet, but that’s the claim. After the bouge are reeducated (or killed) a classless, Stateless utopia will ensue. Uh-huh.

Marxism; when the oppressed, claiming to solve oppression, become the oppressors, that about right?

A planned society is most attractive to those with the arrogance to think they will be part of the planning class.

I like how Trump comes straight out and calls them Marxists. He does it all the time.

Are there any other high profile Republicans who do that?

Excellent read, thank for posting.

Encourage everyone to share this, it discusses Marxism with examples of its ugly manifestation in our culture today. It reminds us of what today’s madness is rooted in, how the marxists apply the ideology, the outcome it seeks, and the appeal to those who find envy a greater motivation than effort.

This is red pill material. Someone smarter and more resourceful than I needs to put this in a forms more easily consumed by the masses. Do it in the right channels and right delivery (fact, irony, humor, etc.). Start here in America and propagate the message worldwide.

More need to understand where the slippery slope of Marxism leads, after that the even harder part - helping them get off the drugs of envy, sloth, irresponsibility and other weaknesses that drive this cultural rot.

Our constitution wasn’t written around the concept of capitalism and corporatism. Back then the financial structure of this country was referred to as laissez-faire.

Sure, and its corollary: that there isn't anything wrong with oppression, what matters is who's doing it. "Social justice" means a switching of roles between classes, mostly for punitive reasons.

Here are two excellent books that explain how how tyrannical "woke" ideology is— marxism is directly opposed is to our traditional culture received from our Founding.

Either one can be used in an adult class, a book group, or individually.

When our church offered one of these books, it was the highest-attended adult Sunday School class ever. People were eager to share the many crushing wokeisms they had noticed or experienced in the workplace, at schools, in their communities, and even from some of their family members.
