“And I always heard that the French enjoyed frogs”

May be they just loved cooked frog legs. I LOVED frog legs but it’s been decades since Mrs. Paul’s has sold them.

Went looking for them on restaurant menu is my area but it’s a no go.

Fried and dipped in butter is heaven.

I didnt even know she ever had them, that must have been a while back.

Not even a nice quaint country supper club? Not even in Lent?

That sounds like a terrible place. If you ever get over here let me know and Ill show you a few nice spots. Theres one place thats so fancy that they have homemade pickled gizzards on the salad bar and you can order a side of frog legs with anything off the supper menu during Lent.

Until then all I can suggest is a brandy old fashioned and dreams of open spaces full of fresh dairy air.

Mmmm...forgot to mention, theres even a place that has the usual surf and turf options but have also have something that those in the know tend to call tongue in cheek “Swamp and Pond” thats a half of roast duck and six frog legs along with your choice of sides. Goes great with a hefeweizen.
