My neighbor made a small pond with a waterfall a number of years ago. The frogs are incredibly loud all night long. When it rains, they’re doubly loud. I even saw a Great blue heron there inspecting the menu. I really enjoy the frog sounds. I also enjoy the sound of cicadas and crickets and birds, especially thrushes and owls. Roosters and dogs not so much. I don’t care for frog legs.
Animal noises can be the worst imposition on neighbors.

It sounds like Homer Simpson at the all-you-can-eat joint!
We have a wetland behind our house. I love the sound of frogs singing as I drift off to sleep. It’s wonderful!
Ambient noise of all kinds I enjoy. One of my favorite coffee spots was a place called The Flight Path because jets would roar over it once or twice an hour on their approach to the airport. Gave the place character.
Then the airport closed and moved to the old Bergstrom AFB.
There’s a small lake behind our house. Tons of noisy frogs, geese, herons, egrets, ducks. Woodpeckers in the trees. Roadrunners. Haven’t seen a live armadillo yet.
