ESPN Monday Night Football analysts Suzy Kolber and Steve Young are among the more than 20 on-air hosts who have been laid off by ESPN in the last 24 hours.
Kolber announced that she had been laid off in a Twitter post, giving thanks for her 27 years with the company.
Today I join the many hard-working colleagues who have been laid off.
Heartbreaking-but 27 years at ESPN was a good run.
So grateful for a 38 yr career!
Longevity for a woman in this business is something I’m especially proud of.

ESPN wants to hire more socialist political commentators to lecture the Neanderthals.
More Disney success. Hopefully ESPN goes bankrupt.
Steve Young is richer than Cresus and is a notorious tightwad, so he will likely not feel any financial hit whatsoever.
Got rid of her because she's no longer a Hard Belly.
“In all, the Walt Disney Company, of which ESPN is a part, is expected to lay off 7,000 employees this year.”
Not enough.
Sorry, but I always found her insufferable. Always struck me as a feminist with a chip on her shoulder. Her tweet seems to support that.
It’s amazing to watch all of this play out. All of those corporations and industries could have been so much more profitable if they had stayed out of woke politics. They chose to alienate their customers and their customers left in droves.
And still, those corporations and industries have learned nothing. They just double down on left-wing politics. It’s insane.
I remember when Suzy was the sports anchor for local CBS in West Palm. That was quite a few years ago.
“why won’t you people watch our garbage!”
Their salary costs have to be astronomical. There has to be cheaper talent that can read queue cards.
Stephen Smith and Joe Buck are keepers.

still a total babe, though ...
yeah, but the dogs won’t eat the food ...
Young is worth $200mil. I wouldn’t be working with that sort of stash unless it was something I really loved.
Top shelfs don’t watch, they play.
Top shelfs don’t root, they are.
espn sux.
Since I don’t do paid TV won’t miss ESPN.
Joe Namath’s favorite girl bites the dust
Steve Young is no great loss.
