Too soon?

Let’s go visit a human sacrifice mass grave for fun.
Whoops! Now we’re part of the sacrifice too.
Remind you of anything?

“You collect ships. I collect souls. And when I fill my quota, I send a boatload home. This will make management happy.” - Ghost Ship

“It is said in Japan that when a person dies in extreme sorrow or rage, the emotion remains, becoming a stain upon that place. Death becomes a part of that place, killing everything it touches. Once you have become a part of it, it will never let you go.“ - The Grudge

After they reached the halfway point, Captain Brown was told that the fire was causing distortion of structural members.

I could be wrong, but always thought it was Captain Smith. 😊

Yes, terminal case of hubris.

“Paul-Henri Nargeolet..”

From everything I’ve heard, he of all people should have declined to go on this glorified egg shell.

Where did the reporter get the idea that the sub made it to within 200’ of the bow of the Titanic, only to implode?

Did not get that from the press conference.

Jack Posobeic on Twitter reports the navy detected the implosion on Sunday but kept it quiet while the Hunter Biden stuff was being presented by Congress.

Could someone make a post? I can’t do it from this (very old) cell phone.

Makes no sense, but the same phenomenon occurs with the experienced test pilots flying aircraft that are super dangerous… however, they don’t take passengers. The pilot and the CEO believed those own BS. Hubris and the sea haven’t never been a good combination.

That’s the impression I get.

Like he got into it, wasn’t prepared for the costs or sacrifice whatever, but was in with both feet and either chose or felt he was forced to cut corners and hack it.

I also think he had little-dick syndrome. Didn’t want and military or SMAs espousing facts... that bothered him and his little pee pee, so he shunned them.

And the company heads were traveling on both the Titanic and the minisub when each went down.

But today’s guy didn’t get a chance to sneak into a lifeboat and survive.

What silence? Did they ask him 5 days ago what he thought, and he clammed up? Then he didn’t talk for 5 days?

PH has been on several if not all the Titan trips to titanic. Shame he had to die this way.

Yes, I agree. I am mystified about why he went myself. Perhaps at age 77 he figured he had lived a full life and if that was how he died then so be it. I read a nasty rumor online that he wanted to find the Titanic’s 2 safes containing gold and jewels. I certainly hope this wasn’t the case.

He wrote a book about his experiences on his dives down to the Titanic. It’s in French.

So far that’s the worst thing I’ve learned about this dreadful trip. What a horrible idea his father had- the kid was 19 years old. And didn’t want to go on this trip.
