Kevin Costner’s estranged wife Christine Baumgartner is seeking $248,000 in monthly child support payments, according to recently filed court documents.
The former handbag designer alleges the figure “is less than the amount needed to maintain the children in their accustomed lifestyle,” per a report from People. Baumgartner also requests that Costner continue paying 100% of private-school tuition, extracurricular activities and sports, plus health-care expenses for their three children. The couple was married for 18 years before filing for divorce on May 2.
They share two sons, Cayden, 16, and Hayes, 14, and daughter Grace, 13.
The documents state that Costner’s 2022 income was $19,517,0641, per the report from People. There was also a breakdown of the family’s expenses totaling $6,645,285, which included travel, entertaining, catering, and upkeep on multiple properties.
This brought their income after expenses and taxes to $7,595,520.
Baumgartner was refusing to leave the former couple’s residence despite a clause in their prenuptial agreement mandating that she do so within 30 days of a divorce filing, The Daily Wire previously reported.
The documents laid out terms for the “Yellowstone” actor to pay $38,000 a month in child support plus provide “100% of certain child related costs, including private school tuition, books, fees and uniforms and school trips, children’s sports, camps and other agreed upon extracurricular activities.”
Costner would also pay $30,000 monthly toward a rental home for Christine and $10,000 toward moving costs. His total estimated net worth is $145 million.

Thats some lifestyle!
That seems reasonable he blows more money than he could possible use mansions and estates everywhere. Spread it around
I guess it’s too late to be adopted into that family ...
One year’s worth of child support would be ~ $3M, more than well over 90% of the households will earn in their lifetimes.
Do to President Biden’s massive inflation, $248,000 a month just does go as far as it used too.......
At $248,000 per month, it’s clearly not about child support.
Costner can afford it.
I like Kevin Costner, but I hope he doesn't come off like a heel in this.
He likes to procreate, and he needs to step up to the plate with the responsibilities he knowingly created.
Imelda Marcos? Is that you?
That Biden voter should pay his fair share.
If he's paying for all of those child-related costs, then he shouldn't have to pay much in "child support." What else is child support than "child-related" costs? I see they were married 18 years, but what a gold-digger. I guess she really despises him, or something -- but doesn't despise his money.
They think of everything.
Marriage is grand.
Divorce is two hundred grand...................
At 4 percent interest: $10,000,000 [10 million] annually.
He can afford it. I hope he doesn't cheap out.
He could have always gone the Charlie Sheen route [pay them to leave in the morning] if the little head was ruling his life.
That’s only three million dollars a year. </sarcasm>
I guess he’ll need to keep working on Yellowstone then.
That amount of spoiling is bad for children and golddiggers. $2k per month for the kids. Next case.
World Class Golddigger.
Being responsible means keeping a roof over their heads, feeding, protecting, and schooling them. That doesn't require $250K a month, the rest of the world manages to do that for a grand or two a month. Being born into the lucky sperm club doesn't entitle you to frivolous luxury, nor should marrying a guy with extreme wealth entitle you to continue living a baller lifestyle after you've thrown your marriage away.
This idea of "manner in which they've become accustomed" BS needs to end, it's just an excuse for the legal system to soak a man of money HE (not she or them) earned. She and the kids can exist just fine in a 3/2 ranch house on a middle class income like 99.999% of the rest of the country. This type of crap is why marriage rates are way down, men are just refusing to marry when they know they're just a target for a legal system designed to fleece them.
