What started as seemingly innocent financial advice turned sideways when a TikTok user claimed in a “life hack” video that he steals groceries to save money.
On Wednesday, TikTok user @someasianontiktok uploaded a video in which he briefly explains how he managed to save $1,200 by using “out of sight out of mind life hacks."
At the start of his now-viral TikTok video, which has already been viewed over 5.2 million times and liked more than 920,000 times, @someasianontiktok shows his wallet stuffed with countless bills purportedly amounting to a total of $1,200..“For every $100 you make, what are you going to do with it?” he asks. “Fold it up, put it away, out of sight, out of mind … it doesn’t exist.”
He then shows several bills worth $35, which is what he has left over to spend on items such as groceries.

He’s just a hypocrite and con artist, like pResident Obomination.
Yeah, if you don’t pay for stuff you can save a lot of money.
Yadda yadda yadda I got a free watch.
Warning. Cursing.

I’m starting to wonder why I pay for anything any longer.
He was trying to be Robbin Hood. lol.
I’m guessing that the 920,000 idiots who “liked” this video have no clue that this dude just made their own groceries — or whatever of them they pay for — more expensive.
Or get up and put 11-14 hour days in at my business.
Might as well be an illegal. Probably be able to keep the same lifestyle with out all the work
I saw one where a guy would go to the butcher in Whole Foods and get grass-fed bone-in ribeyes, wrapped and priced by the pound on a sticker they printed. Then he’d go to the bulk foods section, weigh his ribeyes and print himself a new sticker pricing them as granola or whatever, then go through the self checkout. He called it a hack too, but I’m thinking “That’s not a hack, dude, you’re just a thief!”
Only stands to reason that someone pays for all the shoplifting that goes on. If you are in the right situation, there are honest ways to save money. You must be either well paid,or very frugal with few obligations to make it work.
TikTok = Monkey see monkey do
