Given the distance of WASP-18b from its sun = 1.9 million miles, and an orbital period of 22.6 hours, the orbital velocity of WASP-18b is approximately 150 miles per second, compared to the speed of light of 186,000 miles per second.

Earth travels around our sun at a leisurely 19 miles per second. Mercury orbits the sun at 29 miles per second. Pluto orbits at a glacial 4.7 miles per second.
