I loved that show! It was created by Jack Webb the same guy who created Dragnet.
Emergency came on when I was 7 years old. I got a scanner radio with the fire department and medical channels on it and listened all the time. I found it fun to listen to.
Great show. RIP KMG365
They recently started showing it again here, brings back a lot of memories. Great show.
Loved it myself.
I had a thing for Nurse Dixie.
I really enjoyed that show, as a kid.
Emergency should be credited normalizing the word STAT!
Guy at work had the Emergency! alarm as his ringtone.
I can still hear the sound of the alarm when it was a big one towards the end of the episode.

Slightly off-topic, but one of the lines from the song “What do you want from life” by The Tubes is “a personally autographed picture of Randy Mantooth.”
I think that song was released during the time the show “Emergency” was on the air.
My 5 yr old grandson found it on Hero’s & Icons channel and we have to DVR it for him to watch when he spends the night with us, he loves it.
A good look at the Emergency! fire stations in LA, in real life and acted on in tv:

Nurse Dixie was an interesting gal.
Julie London in R/L. Most of her music is on Youtube - pretty much “old standards”. Not the most powerful voice, but very expressive. She was the top female vocalist of 1955,6&7 according to Billboard. Had a little renaissance when ‘Cry Me a River’ was showcased on the jukebox in the movie V.
Married and divorced to Jack Webb, but they still managed to work together on Emergency! with her new hubbie, Bobby Troup who played the older Dr. Early.
Successful as a pinup/model, actress & vocalist over an almost 40 year career. Unfortunately, a smoker, she passed at 74 in 2000.
It’s a great slice od America as it was and should be.
