Michael’s dad always wanted him to play baseball and he felt that he did all he could do in the NBA. He went out to tryout for baseball to honor his father who was murdered in 93.

Jordan had won three straight NBA titles at the time and was acclaimed as the best player in the game. He was certainly entitled to feel that he'd achieved everything he could possibly have wanted in the NBA.
