When I got the boot, I didn’t have a lawyer to go negotiate a better settlement for me. What was I thinking?

I got booted from a job and they didn't pay me the bonus I was supposed to get for high-volume sales. I was young and just figured it was part of the world I was finding out about. Many years later a lawyer said "Oh, yeah I could have got you that and maybe a lot more, too."

Later some of my former employees told me that a month later the place was so badly managed the volume fell down far below what it was when I got there! Haha! These places don't just get high volume by themselves!
