“I want my ears back!”
One thing to note, is over the years SNL has done several Star Trek parodies, and they’ve always gotten the same guy to play Sulu.
Eliot Gould played the network exec perfectly.
One day, these types of videos will end up on Rumble so I can watch them. One day.
A bowl of fruit …
SNL started my freshman year in college.
Saturday nights parties would just stop, TVs went on.
It was a tradition.
I’ll throw more cash their way as I do every month when the SS check is deposited. ;)
(I’m a Monthly.)
One of their best skits. The Golden age of SNL.
Wednesday Nights my two Army BFFS and I would watch ‘Magnum, PI,’ have a glass of wine and ‘do’ our nails no matter WHERE we were in the world at the time. ;)
We’d tune in on Saturday nights for SNL too, back in the day.
So much classic comedy - and today it’s unwatchable garbage. :(
Thank you!
Thanks for this. Needed a good laugh and got it.
Belushi’s hesitations and dramatic spacing of dialogue to be like Shatner was priceless.
That’s the go-to, for sure!
But Carol Burnett and Andrea Martin did a fine one, too. I didn’t even know until a few years ago...

What if I told you that Eliot Gould is now 84 years old?
Until today, I never knew he had acted in one of Ingmar Bergman’s later films; “The Touch”
Eliot’s co-stars were two Swedes who had been working with Ingmar for over 20 years at that point. They were like an extension of the director’s family: Bibi Andersson and the internationally known Max Von Sydow.
both are mentally deranged living in a fantasy world, but the guy who played spock didnt want your children to grow up as vulcans.

“Oh, and Shatner. You had a call from a margarine company.”
