That’s a lotta lettuce.

The average price for a McDonald’s Big Mac in the US is now estimated at $5.15, or nearly 22% more since the pre-pandemic era, a new study shows.

The iconic burger’s price varies from state to state, with a Big Mac in Hawaii fetching the most — a whopping $5.31, according to a CashNetUSA.

New York is the next most expensive state to buy the burger, at $5.23, followed by New Jersey at $5.19 and California at $5.11.

Out of the more than 13,000 McDonald’s in the US, those in Mississippi were found to have the cheapest Big Macs, at $3.91.

If only someone, anyone would have had warned of the effects of raising the minimum wage beforehand.

Nobody could have foreseen the consequences of something so complex.

I can’t remember the last time I got a fast food burger meal, it’s now like $12, I can get cold cuts for a week on that.

It was already overpriced garbage.

I'm ok with McD's going out of business. No bailouts please.

Not I. The price of their food has no effect on me. I haven’t been in one since 1980.

The rare times (maybe a couple of times per year) I’ll get a fast food burger and fries is if I’m on an hours long drive, have to stop and get gas or charge (depending on which car we drive), the gas station/charging station is a combination fast food place, and I’ll get home hours before I want my next meal. Usually I have a cooler with food from home anyway unless I’ve been out of town for days and I’m on the way back home.

Nah, those millions of cars in the lot and going through the window are just window shopping.

I like Big Macs and have one about every other week. More lately because I can get a Shamrock shake with them.

It really depends on the location.

In the upscale burbs in this area the Karens talk a good health food game but can be spotted in the drive-through line...

;-)
