Soon after a train derailed and spilled toxic chemicals in Ohio last month, anonymous pro-Russian accounts started spreading misleading claims and anti-American propaganda about it on Twitter, using Elon Musk’s new verification system to expand their reach while creating the illusion of credibility.
The accounts, which parroted Kremlin talking points on myriad topics, claimed without evidence that authorities in Ohio were lying about the true impact of the chemical spill. The accounts spread fearmongering posts that preyed on legitimate concerns about pollution and health effects and compared the response to the derailment with America’s support for Ukraine following its invasion by Russia.

But global warming and climate change are real
If they are anonymous, how do we know they are “pro-Russian”?
They’re also claiming that everyone (YES, EVERYONE) is going to die on a day that ends in “y”!
“Search still works”
Or does it?
Pro-Moscow = Anyone who disagrees with the Democrats.
Ah, the pictures of the rainbow creek water was Russian disinformation, just like Hunter’s laptop. This explains the wisdom of the Brandon Administration’s ignoring of the problem for weeks and why the MSM was so reluctant to cover it.

Pretty sure we have some of these Muscovite trolls here on FR. Why would they not chime in on the East Palestine train wreck?
Forty years ago the media was kissing the then Soviet Union’s rear end every chance they got to diss Ronald Reagan. Now Russia is the left’s sworn enemy since they can be used to attack the right. I’m sure Putin has a long list of American politicians, government officials, businesspeople and other prominent people in this country, who in the past and in recent history, have been friendly to the Kremlin.
Ass Press.
That’s all you need to know.
AP claims such anonymous accounts parrot Russians, meaning (only) they’re very similar. A lot would hinge on why they’re similar. For the AP to suggest something nefarious, similarity of message doesn’t cut it.
Disparate voices from opposite sides of the world may well mundanely have seen the same obvious characteristics in an event—all without either voice doing the bidding of someone else.
Does the AP have evidence of money changing hands to abet an enemy as we have with the CCP-Biden payoffs?
So the fact that American infrastructure is crumbling, America is bankrupt 10 times over & its morale fabric is crumbling must be kept out of the public domain? Or else one is pro-Moscow?
It’s AP, everything is either Trump’s fault or Russia’s fault, and sometimes both because they believe Trump is still a Russian asset.
It was the Russians again. This is the problem with lying to the public. We won’t believe it when it *may* be true.
Perhaps the residents of East Palestine could offer the DAVID KLEPPER bot a glass of water.
I also note that “East Palestine” isn’t mentioned in the excerpt. Telling.
I define a Russian troll on FR as someone who is utterly incapable of saying anything nice about America, President Trump, our Constitution, or etc.
But they make clear their love of Putin and Russia!
anonymous pro-Russian accounts started spreading misleading claims and anti-American propaganda about it on TwitterTrying to be civil about AP here... What a bunch of feckless cowards.
Then let’s hear something nice about America!
The economy, or maybe cold war II, or the Bidens, or Jan 6, or the election, or...
