I work overnights at an inn here in the frozen north.. We had a guy with a Tesla realize he was on low charge and 10 miles from the nearest charging point. He wanted to plug in to the 480 volt line thatruns our walk in coolers. When he wasn’t allowed to do that he ran a contractor cord out of his room and after about 10 hours he was able to make it to the Wal-Mart charge station and wait another hour.
That’s what I figure he was too far away from a normal charging station.
Great story—these EV owners are getting to learn their lessons the hard way—as they should.
