I didn’t see it, but the performance sounds as expected. It’s been decades since there was a non offensive halftime show at a Superbowl. I include crappy music as being offensive. Given this track record there really shouldn’t be any complaints. People should have known full well that they would be seeing something like this. Change to channel.
anybody watching with kids could have taken a snack/pee break during halftime. Rhianna doing what she does.
Maybe next year- do research on the halftime performers and make a good decision for your kids.
Janet Jackson was NOT an “accident”. She had a tear-away garment, it was pre-planned with the guy she was dancing with. Who explicitly sang “I’ll have your clothes off, before this song is over” and then proceeded to tear of the boob covering.
And the terrible ACTING with a surprised face and “Ooopsie” coverup after 3 seconds was also stagged.

Halftime is when you are supposed to go back to the store for more beer, not watch some porn show with your kids in the room.

we turned it off before the halftime show started and back on when it was over. I KNEW it would be bad.
We live in a new society filled with self centered, narcissistic adolescent “adults” who couldn’t care less about children - probably because they had crap parent(s) and childhoods, themselves.
Same here. I don’t get the complaints. Just don’t watch it. The announcers helpfully stated halftime was going to be 29 minutes long so anybody wanting to tune out and not miss any game action had all the info they needed.

Was halftime always 45 minutes long? When I had a DVR I would skip all the commercials and halftime. I could start watching at the half, FF all but the play, and finish at the end of the game watching live. It is like 75 minutes of content and 60 minutes of filler.
Going to the store at halftime of the Super Bowl for beer/booze points to a serious lack of planning skills.
That said, when halftime came on, I changed the channel for 30 minutes, then switched back..
The vast majority of the entertainment industry, sports are included in this, gave up on decency and morality over 30 years ago. Why is anyone surprised or shocked that the halftime show was, or would be a celebration of deviance and perversion?

I stopped watching as soon as I saw her grab her crotch. I thought that she was imitating Michael Jackson. I think that sexualization of our pubic life is intentionally offensive. I just walk away. I find them disgusting, the same way Michael Jackson was disgusting.
If you notice, the articles about the polling of the halftime show only mention how few complaints they received, but that doesn’t mean that people liked the show.
