Many years back I did jury duty twice in a fairly short period of time. The lesson learned from that experience is that there is no such thing as a “jury of my peers”.

Frightening.

Fortunately, here, the jurors are at least 50% retired professional people ... engineers, scientists, accountants maybe. Not like that very many places.
