Current iterations being the new Magnum, P.I., The Equalizer, Hawaii Five-O... there's no end to the recycling. Now if they did a new Dragnet with a straightforward Sgt Joe Friday, I might actually watch.
That was tried with Ed O’Neil (Married With Children)! I don’t think it finished one season. I thought he did OK as Friday. I guess people were too attached to O’Neil being Al Bundy.
Lot of new stories out there but I am sure CPAs and focus groups say don’t go there.
