A new report makes clear the ultimate goal: tiny, uncomfortable apartments and bicycles for all.
Progressives’ dirty little secret is that everyone will have to make do with much less—fewer cars, smaller houses and yards, and a significantly lower standard of living.
Governments, the report says, could reduce “financial subsidies for private vehicles,” such as on-street and free parking. They could also impose charges on pickup trucks and SUVs (including electric ones) and build more bike lanes. Urbanites who suspect the expansion of bike lanes in their cities is intended to force people to stop driving aren’t wrong.
The Inflation Reduction Act included billions of dollars to promote bicycling and so-called livable neighborhoods.
Soon Americans may not be able to afford to buy a car even with a government subsidy. Then they will have no choice but to use mass transit or dust off their old 10-speed bike.

The goal is to isolate us by limiting our travel within a few miles.
Think of the Soviet Union apartments when you think of what they want.
15 minute communities are nothing more than ghettoes.
They want to get rid of everything except themselves so they will have everything to themselves.

The left always has an awful hidden agenda behind their deceptive slogans like “equity” and “saving the earth”.
Tiny apartments and bicycles will be for the Bureaucrats, the Apparatchik .
Sleeping pods within walking distance to your assigned workplace and the community / company cafeteria will be what the peasants who are allowed to survive will get.
And we continue to vote for the people that give these scumbags a voice.
When they should all be ignored and run out of town, if need be. Just like all the tranny, LGBTQI, BIPOC, etc folks.
But this isn’t really hidden. This is Agenda 21 with an overwhelming dose of the WEF. Both are well known for their policy objectives.
If we had a real President, we did from 2017-2021, he would outright reject all of this and tell them to pound sand up their a$$es.
If I were a betting man, after getting SCOTUS picks and maybe waiting for one more to make sure that Roberts couldn’t blow it, he was going to go after Birthright Citizenship(which he would have won IMHO) and then start dealing with the UN, EU and WEF in more forceful ways. Would have been great to watch him evict the UN from NYC.
Damn near every country in the UN hates the US, but they sure do love NYC and the security blanket provided them by the US and the NYPD.

We have cyclists in Florida. They just cycle on down the road like cyclists did for decades before bike lanes were created. “Share the road” seems good enough for most spots around here.
Anyone here who thinks that the Left would be content with simply replacing our gasoline fleet of cars with electric cars is a TOTAL IDIOT and should leave this site.
And that is because us NON-IDIOTS take the time to understand the mindset of the Left and we know, FULL WELL that their problem is NOT what’s under LaHood, but rather that we get to move around as we please.
Dust off their 10 speed bicycle? Well, I have an old Raleigh 3 speed, so I guess I am ready.
In the mid 80’s went to visit family that lived in communist countries.
The only relative who owned a car was the vice president of a bank and his wife a teacher and my apartment as a student was bigger than his!!!
Became a William F. Buckley fan when I was in middle school and have never voted for a democrat after this trip!!
I guess I've already self-isolated in my little Mayberry, and I've already considered getting myself a bicycle (I actually, I found four bicycles in my old shed just yesterday). The grocery store, the hardware store, the post office, the barber shop, city hall, the bank, the burger cafe and the city park and tennis courts ... all within reasonable bicycling distance for these 64-year-old legs.
Any limitations on travel only serves to keep *them* away from *me*.
Think of the Soviet Union apartment blocks when you think of what the real goal is.
