If any ICE vehicles spontaneously combusted with such frequency several Fed. agencies would be forcing recalls and halting further sales.
But for “The EV Revolution” it is excuses and slow walking.
pumper trucks full of sand... bury the car/fire
Building fires are sooooooo great for the environment... Liberals must be so proud. /s
Don't know if real. But video seemed professionally done. It was posted by Tesla Car World. But there are so many people sticking Elon or Tesla in their titles to draw in viewers, it's hard to know what's real and what's fake.
Elon Musk Reveals New Tesla Battery Design that Could Last 100 Years, Change the Entire Industry!"
I'm also seeing some interesting headlines about sodium or sea salt based batteries.
just watched a show today exploring a parking garage camera footage of a car with noone in it smoke for a bit then burst into flames - turns out to be that the car was electric-
won’t that be grand- ripping down a highway full of cars, and an electric car bursts into flames right in front of you and everyone-
There’s a reason you can’t mail lithium batteries through the USPS.
an ABC Australia regional piece; rarely does MSM report these fires, in order to protect the “climate scam”:
2 Feb: ABC Australia: Australia “not prepared” for fire risk of lithium-ion batteries used in e-scooters, bikes, cars, say firefighters
ABC Gold Coast/by Dominic Cansdale and Cathy Border
Electrochemistry professor Paul Christensen, from Newcastle University in the United Kingdom, started researching lithium-ion batteries in the 1980s and has consulted UK and Australian fire services.
“Don’t get me wrong, I’m a big, big fan of lithium-ion batteries,” he said.
“But I believe they’ve penetrated far faster at all levels of our society than our understanding of the risks.”...
The United Firefighters Union of Queensland’s general secretary, John Oliver, said there had been 27 house fires linked to electric vehicles (IN THE STATE OF QUEENSLAND ALONE) so far this financial year.
“We’re not prepared for this because we’re going to get more,” he said.
“This isn’t a normal fire … firies are worried about it.”...
Professor Christensen said a government-led education campaign was needed...
“Do not charge your electric-bike or e-scooter indoors under any circumstances whatsoever,” he said.
“Do not charge them when you’re out, do not charge them when you’re asleep … do not charge them where, in any way, they impede your escape.”...

18 Jan: ABC Australia: Concerns over growing number of fires linked to lithium-ion batteries in e-scooters and e-bikes
By Rhiannon Shine
Hundreds of fires across Australia have been linked to lithium-ion batteries, which are used to power light electric vehicles like e-scooters and e-bikes...
Fire and Rescue New South Wales said it responded to about 180 lithium-ion battery-related fires in the past 12 months, Victoria had 120 in the year to July, and Queensland had recorded 72 since 2021.
The latter figure included an e-scooter that caught fire at a Brisbane house last week and five people were hospitalised...

in the State of Victoria, firefighters refuse to deal with lithium battery fires in underground car parks. say they can’t get their equipment down there in order to submerge the vehicles in water, or whatever.
if it weren’t for the “climate scam”, lithium batteries would have been recalled and banned by now.
I used to leave my devices to charge overnight...but now I only charge them during the day...while I’m home...and while I’m awake. I’m a huge fan of airplane crash documentaries and there have been at least a coupe that are known to have been caused by lithium batteries catching fire.
Because the batteries keep generating heat until full internal failure - you can extinguish the fire multiple times before it stops regenerating.
Remember the Ford Pinto recalls for safety - that ain’t happening anymore.
I just read this article to my husband. He is picking up his new EV bike this morning.
I have an EV trike that I **love**love**love!
When I finished reading he said, “Don’t read me articles about things I can’t fix!” :)
Don’t be “confounded”. Just do an Internet search ... There’s likely more than one YouTube video on how to extinguish a lithium battery fire. (Meant as a joke ... because there’s an element of truth here.)
