I identfyued with him. always in the basckgroud, but the most talenteted.
He was good with the Traveling Wilburys too.
I used to hate music videos, but now find them entertaining.
Much effort was expended in making this one.
You post some really stupid stuff.
Always a treat to see George again. Especially this song.
In the last year I’ve been going over the complete recordings of the Beatles as a group and individually. Get Back is a great 8 or 9 hour movie with mostly levity, not like Let It Be.
I’m trying to understand the sentiment of millions who heard All Things Must Pass for the first time as it was released in late ‘70 and early ‘71 (some of the singles came later). They knew George was talented but I read it blew everyone’s mind. Rehearing it in my 60s knowing the history almost gives me the same shock. To have heard these for the first time coming from a single album. Wow.
Guess I can’t close without a cheap swipe on contemporary ‘music’. Apparently “Drake” is the best selling ‘artist’ of all time per download-unit-wise. God help us all.
Did anybody spot Eric Idle?

Lighten up, Francis.

Always thought of him as the most musically diverse out of that group. And the better musician, too.
Thanks from another Dallas person! That is one of my top favorite videos of all time. Filmed at his home, he certainly did have a palace in real life. I remember when it came out and they pointed out that the song was all about England’s then-current situation.
I also love his video of the classic song True Love, also filmed at his estate.
This might be the worst song ever written
He was.
“while my guitar gently weeps” is one of my all time favorite songs.
I saw an interview of John Cleese in which he said that one of the Python films (can’t recall which one) would never have been made were it not for funding from George. He said he talked to George when he heard of the funding offer and asked him why he was doing so.In quoting George he said,in his best Liverpool accent, “cause I want to see the film”. His accent was great!
That was Eric Clapton!
I didn’t spot Idle, buy I did spot a few Monty Python character cameos...
That is one weird vid.
It was “Life Of Brian”.

Clapton played the guitar leads but Harrison wrote the song and obviously did the vocals.
