Seems like there is a town called “Ventimiglia” in Italy, so I suppose it was 20 miles from something notable.

My money would be on drugs. In one of the NY Post’s photo, the young lady has what appears to be a marijuana cigarette in her hand. If she smokes weed, it’s not a huge leap to other drugs.
