Los Angeles Chargers pass rusher Joey Bosa was fuming at the officials for the game-turning unsportsmanlike conduct penalty in his team's 31-30 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars. He contained his emotions at the time but today he went off.
Speaking to the media during the team's exit interviews, Bosa deemed it unfair that he faces a fine if he criticizes referees but the referees get to joke about making a bad call that ruins a game.
"If I say something to them I get a $40,000 fine, but if they blow a call that ruins an entire team's season... they'll probably be back in the locker room after the game like, 'Haha, got that a--hole, oh yeah, got him 15 yards what a loser,'" Bosa said.

If the player is correct there should not be a fine.
My work computer’s web page default home page has a news feed that rotates a variation of this headline at the top left corner. “NFL World Reacts to xxxxx’s Decision/Accusation/Claim” etc. It was funny - it caught me the first time or two as I glances to see what the big news was about. Then I realized it was just clickbait spam over and over. Maybe a real story behind it, but that headline. . .
It was clearly a false start that the refs missed. When he complained to the ref he said something that ticked the ref off.
I am watching Dallas Tampa, the Refs just miscalled a fumble, acknowledged it, but enforced a subsequent 15 yard penalty on the non fumble return. IMHO that is crap.
Speaking of, raise your hand if you’ve made as many PATs as Brett Maher tonight.
Totally pathetic game.
Gamblers are involved in NFL. NFL is influencing the Referees (indirectly). You favor large market teams and superstars over small market and lesser known players.
I thought he got the penalty for taking his helmet off and slamming it on the ground.
Well this game obviously didn’t favour the larger market.
That made me chuckle. I rarely watch football but taking a look tonight.
I only watched a few regular season games this year, but the officiating this weekend was atrocious. These are supposed to be the best officials in the playoffs, right?
Bosa has a good point, but he should be angrier at his terrible head coach than at the refs.
Nobody cares about the Chargers. They're like the Mets or the White Sox.
A merit based system is racist. We need a broad, some fags and coloreds. That’s the best officiating.
I’m pretty sure that major penalties are enforced on “non-plays” under NFL rules. There’s a reason for that. It removes the obvious incentive for a player to commit an egregious penalty and attempt to injure an opponent on a play that he knows will be called back after review.
The Raiders are still LA’s team, even though they play in Vegas.
He did but just prior to that he said something to the black refs face and it clearly ticked the ref off.
Not yet. Can Brady come back? I don’t think so, but I would not bet against him.
Should have kicked for the PAT.
The Bucs just got screwed on a no-call obvious hold.
