I’m no help, but I thought they used sonic waves and medicine to break it up now?...
I remember reading a study about roller coasters and kidney stones.
Sounds much more fun than the ER.

Lots of water and some cranberry juice plus a small glass of dill pickle juice
Drink plenty of beer. My doctor actually told me this method. Keeps fluid flowing through kidneys and bladder and numbs the pain at the same time. Made sense to me and I tried it. Worked in 4 hours.
Doesn’t always work. Knocked me out to bust up my stones with the waves & didn’t do a thing to them.
They use lasers now.
They can, depending on the type and severity. My daughter has been dealing with them for years; there is no real easy way from what I’ve been told
Sonic; like lithotripter?
Had that - felt like guido and the boys worked me over with a baseball bat or two.
Next treatment years later used a laser endoscope thingy. MUCH better results!
