The BBC has learnt of violence against Russian soldiers refusing to fight in the war in Ukraine.
Families have spoken of their relatives being locked up.
President Vladimir Putin announced what he called a “partial mobilisation”, drafting hundreds of thousands of Russian citizens into the armed forces.
