This is super simple. In our ongoing struggle against the New York Times' 1619 Project, how valuable is a free/open source audiobook that highlights American abolitionism, going back to 1619, with 1619 in the title?

Enjoy! Text in the link for those who prefer to read the words than to listen to an audio book presentation.

Anti-slavery in America from the Introduction of African Slaves to the Prohibition of the Slave Trade (1619-1808)

I've done the heavy lifting. The only question now is - will conservatives actually listen?(or read) American history gives us the upper hand against the progressives. Our Founding Fathers were on the correct side of history here. But the information is only valuable if we pick it up and use it. If we leave it on the ground, well, then, the progressives will continue their attacking. It doesn't have to be this way. If there was more I could do from this point, I would do it, I don't know what that "more" would be though. At at the end of the day, I'm only one guy. But I do think that getting the full audio book completed means that I've done more than most, and I'll have to accept that.

TOPICS: History
KEYWORDS: abolitionism; audiobook; foundingfathers; freeperbookclub
Much of this information was removed from schools decades ago, some even, a century ago, so for many of you it will be a surprise that there's a direct and tangible connection between abolitionism and the Founding Fathers.

I was watching the college football playoffs on Saturday. They ran two BS adds:

1- the first was a pro-illegal immigration ad, showing illegals making their way to illegally enter America. The ad then claimed “Jesus was a refugee,” which he was not. As we know Mary and Joseph were going to Bethlehem to be counted in the census- not to illegally enter Bethlehem and get free stuff

2- the other ad was for an upcoming series on Hulu based on the 1619 project of lies- claiming “we have all been touched by 400 years of slavery in America

"we have all been touched by 400 years of slavery in America"

This is the very problem that's easily addressed by leveraging our own history more aggressively.

The United States is not 400 years old. The United States will be 400 years old in the year 2176, and we're nowhere near there yet.

These idiots who control the history departments are blaming the British Empire's slavery on us. That's what this number means. The Empire did this, not the United States. There's no reason why we should take the fall for it, they did it.

And as we’ve all witnessed- slavery was as much the sin of African kings as anyone else: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNUZQNpWZ10

Which of the many different dark sides would that be? I’m mostly interested in what pertains to abolitionism during the era of the Founding. Are you going to bring up some era other than the Founding? The 1619istas wish to act like abolitionism during the Founding era doesn’t exist. We need to make sure to shine the light at the Founding more intently so the progressives can’t hide it anymore.

Take note of the two specific chapters I recorded. Jefferson and a lot of them are mentioned.

"Some very prominent backed such endeavors And corresponded with Marx"

Which of our Founding Fathers in the 1770s corresponded with Marx?

No really. Be specific.

Is this a bot account?

There is no part of years “1619-1808” indicates the civil war, which is what your book was about. If you are here just to cause mayhem, or fork the discussion and take it off topic, or otherwise be rude, please find another discussion where you can do that.

This is not a civil war discussion. That’s the wrong century and is massively off topic.
