Tim Conway & Harvey Korman star in "The Dentist" – one of the most popular sketches from The Carol Burnett Show! Conway plays a recently graduated dentist who accidentally injects himself with Novocaine his first day on the job.
We were just talking about this skit earlier today.
ABSOLUTELY ONE OF THE MOST CLASSIC SKITS IN COMEDY.

It is one of my favorite skits. The other day I was watching dean Martin celebrity roasts on YouTube. As funny as it was; it made me sad because I realized that you could never get away with that kind of humor nowadays.
For some reason I never watched carol Burnett show but as a kid, Tim Conway in McHale’s Navy was a favorite.
My favorite is Conway and his elephant story. I crack up every time:

Equally hilarious. The Mama’s Family cast w/ Dick Van Dyke subbing for Harvey - in a way.
Dick winds up on the floor laughing and Carol winds up clutching the corner of the couch laughing.
Such funny people.
You would think SNL that has a whole gaggle of “comedy” writers that only have to write for a a 2 hour show that plays once a week could come up with stuff this good, but their brains are so fried from leftism it’s pathetic.
Stupid trivia: Harvey had a thumbtack in his hand, and when he was tempted to laugh, he’d squeeze it. OBVIOUSLY it didn’t work. But early on in this skit you can see him start to laugh, and see it change to a pained expression. NOW you know why.
When a Freeper posted this a couple years ago, I watched it for the first time. I have no idea how Tim Conway could even rehearse this. Absolutely incredible.
